KISS/AEROSMITH: Detroit Show Canceled
August 16, 2003The sold-out KISS/ AEROSMITH/ TED NUGENT/ SALIVA show that was scheduled to take place at Comerica Stadium in Detroit, Michigan Friday night (August 15) was canceled due to the power outage that crippled parts of the U.S. Midwest, Northeast and southern Canada. A make-up date may be announced at a later point.
"My apologies to all of you if the recent power blackout has inconvenienced you," KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons wrote on his web site. "KISS and AEROSMITH had a packed STADIUM full of fans waiting for the Detroit concert — unfortunately, no power, so we cancelled. Likewise, I had to cancel my Detroit book signing. I promise to come back. So will KISS and AEROSMITH."
The next show on the KISS/ AEROSMITH/ SALIVA tour — on Sunday, August 17 at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Indianapolis, Indiana — is not expected to be affected by the cancellation.
